Flambéed bananas

Ingredients :
  • 8 bananas (not too ripe)
  • 2 tsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 2 tbsp frozen orange juice
  • 2 tbsp melted butter
  • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp Schenley Coronet VSQ cognac
Preparation :

Peel the bananas and place them in a baking dish. Mix the lemon juice, maple syrup, melted butter, and concentrated orange juice. Heat gently and pour over the bananas. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake over low heat in the oven (325°F) for about 30 minutes, basting occasionally with the juice. Before serving, flambé with cognac.
